If she skinned a knee, her dad would remind her that she was Kelly Tough. But it wasn’t until her strong, athletic dad was at his weakest–ravaged by two bouts of cancer–did she really understand what Kelly Tough looked like. On Aug. 8 at 5pm and Aug. 9 at 9 and 11am, Erin and Jill (her mother) will tell their story of love and hope in an exclusive interview. The interview will also be shown via livestream or video at Christ Community’s Aurora (Blackberry Creek), Bartlett, and DeKalb Campuses during their regular weekend services.

In a book released this spring, Erin shared a deeply personal account of discovering strength in weakness. Written with her mom, Jill, the book Kelly Tough (BroadStreet) has already become a New York Times Bestseller and been featured on The Today Show, ESPN’s SportsCenter, Sports Illustrated, Outside the Lines, ABC News, and more.

Erin is the oldest daughter of Jim and Jill Kelly. She has always had a passion for writing, journaling, and sharing her faith. A sought-after speaker to young women, Erin has co-authored five books with her sister, Camryn. She attends Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Jill is the wife of retired NFL superstar Jim Kelly.  She is a sought-after speaker and the author of several books including the New York Times bestseller Without A  Word, about the loss of their 8-year-old son, Hunter.

The Christ Community interview will take place live during the regular weekend services at the St. Charles Campus, located at the northwest corner of Randall Road and Bolcum Road in St. Charles. There is no charge or ticket to attend any of the services.
