The Volunteer Plaza Community Committee, in partnership with the St Charles Arts Council and the River Corridor Foundation, and with the cooperation of the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, announces the dedication of the new Volunteer Plaza and the Reflections sculpture, by Guy Bellaver on Sun., Aug. 16 at 3pm. The dedication is the culmination of the effort begun in 2010 by Dr. C. Alfred Patten [Community Committee Chair and Reflections Project Manager] to have a piece of public art in the city that honors volunteerism, as exemplified by Max and Doris Hunt. The City of St. Charles has graciously accepted this gift of public art from the community and included it in the redeveloped Municipal Campus, just north of the City Building. reflectionsatvolunteerplaza.wordpress.com/.
