Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shop, home of the country's largest selection of soda and candy under one roof, has officially opened their newest location at 301 W. Main Street in St. Charles, Illinois.

This is the second Rocket Fizz location for owner Robert Brescia, who opened his first Rocket Fizz shop at The Glen Town Center, a former Naval Base turned upscale lifestyle center in Glenview, Illinois almost a year ago. Its success inspired Brescia to open his second family-owned and operated store in a similarly vibrant and historical area.

"When my wife and I started looking for a location to put our second store, we immediately fell in love with St. Charles's history, pride and sense of community and knew that we had to become a part of it," said Brescia.

Featuring over 85 flavors of salt water taffy, over 3,000 different types of candy, over 500 varieties of

bottled sodas with fun flavors including Ranch Dressing, Bacon, Apple Pie and Martian Poop as well as hundreds of retro and gag gifts, tin signs, concert and movie posters, Rocket Fizz's fun and retro atmosphere will launch you back in time. Its location in the former Klink's Wagon

Shop, rich with history dating back to the 1850's, offers an added element of nostalgia. The store's hardwood floors and expansive front windows complete with original wood trim are the perfect background for Rocket Fizz's fun and inviting displays, updated monthly to showcase their products and massive life-size characters, such as Big Bird and Wolverine.

"Growing up in Mt. Prospect, I remember riding my bike to the 5 &Dime, with the quarters I'd saved burning a hole in my pocket. I can still see myself standing in the candy aisle, mesmerized by everything

I saw, wanting to have it all. With my pockets full of candy and my bellyaching with anticipation, I would race home to lie in the grass and enjoy every single piece of my sugar,” said the shop's owner, Robert Brescia. "That's what Rocket Fizz is to me. It's about memories, old and new, it's about sharing your story and hearing new ones. There's going to be something in this store, whether it's the candy, the pop, the retro posters, the tins signs or even a gag gift that is going to spark a memory or help create a new memory for each and every customer that walks in. Rocket Fizz in St. Charles is going to playa HUGE part in helping people become kids again, and I love that!"rocketfizzstc@gmail.com
